Moving In
To assist with the transition to a Post Oak residence, we have assembled links to the utility providers so you can establish/transfer your accounts online. Click here to visit these links.
Rent Payments and Direct Debit
Rent payments can be dropped at the 24-hour slot at Post Oak's main office at 1250 W Augusta (directions). For your convenience, and at no charge to you, we can also arrange for an automatic monthly debit to relieve you of having to write a check every month and wonder if the Chicago mail system will deliver it on time. By completing a simple, one-page form, you can simplify your month-end to do list today. Click here to download the authorization agreement for direct debit.
Requesting Maintenance Service
Please note that we require that all requests for maintenance be made in writing using either the following on-line request form or downloadable (printed) form. Of course, all emergency (i.e., affecting health and safety) requests should be made immediately by calling Post Oak's main office at (773) 227-2388 and pressing "1". Extension 1 is our 24-hour maintenance line - leaving a detailed message in the voicemail box will page Post Oak's maintenance contact(s) and you will quickly receive a call back and prompt attention.
You may complete an online maintenance request. Alternatively, you may download and complete our maintenance form and fax to (773) 913-6254.
Winter Snow Clearing
For the safety and convenience of our residents living at multi-unit rental buildings, Post Oak arranges for the removal of snow from all front and rear entries, main/front stairs, sidewalks and gangways, and access to waste bins. In each case when a snowfall exceeds 2â01D in depth, a team of snow shovelers begins early in the morning once the storm has ended. To these same common exterior areas, a premium blend of the ice melter calcium chloride is applied. Calcium chloride has many advantages over regular rock salt â013 while more effective than salt at melting snow and ice (including at lower temperatures), it is gentler to concrete, plants, and other surfaces with which it comes in contact.
For many reasons, Post Oak is unable to accommodate requests for clearing snow from rear porches, driveways, parking pads, and garage fronts. As an added convenience, there are shovels located in the common basements and/or garages of the multi-unit rental buildings for residents to use (at their own risk) to dig out parked cars, etc.
Snow clearing at multi-unit condominium buildings, whether managed by the owner/residents or by a professional third-party management company, is the ultimately the responsibility of the individual associations.
